Position: Social Media Marketing & Communications Internship

Responsible To : Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

Summary: 

Camarena Health is looking for a talented Social Media Marketing & Communications intern to help plan and execute organic and paid social media marketing and community engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will have social media management experience and is up to speed on current trends and strategies. They will bring new and fresh ideas to the table and lead by example. Ability to conceive and create original artwork/graphic designs is desired. Intern is also responsible for maintaining Camarena Health’s brand and identity as the Heart of Healthcare in Madera County.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Internal and External Marketing:
    1. Oversee social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
    2. Design and implement social media marketing strategies
    3. Design and implement community engagement pieces for social media
    4. Create and publish content regularly
    5. Monitor Birdeye customer feedback system
    6. Maintain daily communication with Communications Manager
    7. Work with branding agency on retainer as needed
    8. Attend private and public events as needed
    9. Other duties as identified and directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven work managing social media and digital ad platforms
  • Hands-on experience in content creation
  • Graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or web-based design tools such as Canva is a huge plus
  • Copywriting skills (AP Style)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Central Valley communities is a plus
  • Must have or be pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field

 

Physical Requirements:           

  • Must be able to move up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels)
  • Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff
  • Must be able to read memos, computer screen, personnel, clinical and administrative documents
  • Must have average manual dexterity
  • Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn o
