POSITION:	Data Analytics Specialist		RESPONSIBLE TO:	Michael Gaskin, CIO
DEPARTMENT:	Information Technology

SUMMARY:

Data Analytics Specialist will analyze complex data sets, create visually appealing and informative data visualizations and dashboards, and provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.  Has a solid understanding of the ETL process.

• Effectively communicates with key stakeholders to understand the organizational questions that need to be answered.
• Works with IT Management to improve internal processes and procedures.

• Maintains cleanliness and order of work area, equipment, and supplies

• Arrives on time and adheres to set schedule.

 

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Focus on Data Analyti:
  • Utilize Tableau to create visually appealing and informative data visualizations and dashboards for various stakeholders.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from various sources, including MS SQL databases.
  • Leverage Snowflake knowledge to work with large datasets and provide insights to the team
  • Use rest API to integrate data from external sources and automate data collection processes.
  • Utilize Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Education:                                         

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Or equivalent real-world experience.

 

 

Prior Experience:                            

• Two to three years experience as a Data Analytics Specialist or in a similar role.

 

Skills:

• Effective oral and written skills; general report writing skills.
• Telephone courtesy; customer-service oriented.
• Modern office practices and procedures, including email.
• Highly organized.
• Attention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks.
• Demonstrated good problem-solving skills.
• Able to track multiple tasks and complete them promptly.
• Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with employees of differing backgrounds; team player.

 

Physical Requirements:               

• Must be able to move up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels)
• Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in person, and speak clearly to communicate information to clients and staff
• Must be able to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents
• Must have high manual dexterity

• Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn
