Now in its third year, SEI is helping employees across Camarena Health connect, celebrate one another, and take an active role in making their workplace better.
Helping Our People Feel Connected
Feeling supported starts on day one. Through the Staffing Fix, new employees are connected with peer mentors and supported through regular check-ins, helping them build relationships, ask questions, and feel welcomed as part of the team.
That support continues by recognizing the people who bring our values to life. The Highly Qualified Employee (HQE) program celebrates team members whose everyday actions reflect their commitment to coworkers, patients, and our community.

Celebrating Our Progress Together
In November 2025, that shared commitment brought our team to a national stage at the 25th Annual HealthCare Service Excellence Conference.
Camarena Health earned four Platinum Awards for Patient Experience, along with recognition for leadership, workplace culture, and employee engagement. Honors celebrated Nhia Tellaz, the Camarena Sluggers, and CEO Paulo Soares, who received the CEO of the Year award.
