When a young mother first came to Camarena Health for support, she was navigating one of the most difficult chapters of her life. Pregnant and recently separated from a relationship she once believed in, she was left feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, and disconnected from the person she once was.
Through Camarena Health’s Behavioral Health program, she began working with Julia Juarez, Associate Clinical Social Worker, who helped create a safe and supportive space where the patient could begin to process the emotional weight she was carrying.
Together, they worked through the challenges of pregnancy, relationship loss, and the pressures of raising children while trying to rediscover a sense of identity and stability.

Associate Clinical Social Worker,
As care continued, the patient also began working with Camarena Health’s psychiatry team to better understand her mental health and explore treatment options. Following further evaluation, she was diagnosed with postpartum depression and began a treatment plan that included therapy, medication, and ongoing support.
Over time, she began to see meaningful progress. Today, she describes her baby as a blessing and says motherhood helped her slow down and reflect on what truly matters in her life.
Her journey toward healing continues, but she now feels more grounded and hopeful about the future.
For Julie, moments like this carry deep meaning. After spending more than a decade growing her own career at Camarena Health, she understands that healing and growth are journeys—for both patients and the people who care for them.
Stories like this reflect the heart of Camarena Health’s behavioral health services: meeting people where they are and supporting them as they rediscover their strength.
